What FileTern stores
FileTern does not set cookies. When you manually choose a language, the choice is saved in localStorage under the key “filetern-language”. This preference is used only to show the same language on later visits.
Files and results
Selected files and generated results are not saved in cookies or persistent browser storage. They remain temporarily in browser memory and are cleared when you reset the tool, reload, close the page or the browser releases them.
Third parties
There are no advertising networks, analytics providers or embedded social trackers in this release. The hosting platform may use essential security or load-balancing technologies as part of delivering the website; those are controlled by the hosting provider.
Your control
You can change the saved language using the selector at any time. You can remove the preference through your browser’s site-data settings. If optional analytics, advertising or other non-essential storage is added later, FileTern will update this policy and provide the choices required by applicable law before enabling it.
